Accies to sign full-back Buchanan.

Hamilton aim to sign former Bury left-back David Buchanan before setting off for a training camp in Spain on Monday.The 27-year-old, who can also play in midfield, is available under freedom of contract and has been on trial with the Scottish Premier League side.

"We will sign David Buchanan pending a medical," said Accies manager Billy Reid. "We have one or two other things moving on but nothing concrete."

Buchanan left Bury earlier this month after stalling on a contract offer.

He progressed through the youth system at Gigg Lane and made 206 appearances for the League Two side.

Accies had Brian Easton playing at left-back for the second half of last season but the player has returned to Burnley after his loan spell.
