Accies took on Rangers in a closed-door match at Murray Park this morning, and won 2-1, with our goals coming from Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Tunbridge. Accies were at full strength, and good news was that Ian Harty was on the bench. There were also two trialists for Accies; one Nigerian, the other Spanish, who has been at the club for the past six weeks, but will return home tomorrow. Rangers line-up included seven first team players, including new signings Olivier Bernard, Francis Jeffers and Pipo Maniero, and the rest were made of U19s and reserves.

Jeffers opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, before Spanish striker Gonzalez drew Accies level five minutes later. The final goal of the game came from Aussie Scott Tunbridge in 72 minutes. Brian Carrigan went off after 12 minutes, simply as a precaution, and to rest him for the game against Stranraer on Saturday. We used 21 players, which meant everyone got a runout against the SPL champions.

Rangers: Robinson, Watson, Campbell, Malcolm, Bernard, Kalenga, Hemdani, Smith, Nieto, Maniero, Jeffers. Subs: Lowing, Shinnie, Carcary, Johnston, N'Guessan.
