Lyle given time to prove fitness.

Hamilton striker Derek Lyle has been handed a short-term contract as he fights to prove his fitness. The 29-year-old's season ended in September last year when he suffered cruciate ligament damage. But the former Dundee player has returned to training and match action during pre-season and has signed a contract until January.
